About The Book
Four
Friends, One Secret and The Weekend That Changed Their Destiny
Candace Walker, Kaylan Smith, Jordan Tate, and Tiffany Thomas
have their share of sorrows, but neither of them realizes how deep the sorrow
goes. What happens when they agree to
meet for a weekend of relaxation in beautiful Napa County? Which one will leave
the same or worse?
For Candace Walker, life has left her battered and
bruised. Kaylan Smith has struggled with
prejudice from her in-laws. After fifteen years of marriage, bitterness is
trying to raise its ugly head for Jordan Tate, whose husband wants to call it
quits. And for Tiffany Thomas, dealing with rejection has never been one of her
greatest feats.
Although they have been friends for years, they thought they
knew each other well. But will a secret destroy their relationship and bring
the sisterhood to a complete halt? Will they be able to forgive and allow God
to mend that which might be torn?

What is a typical day like for you?
My typical day starts out by having
a cup of hazelnut coffee, walking a few miles and promoting my clients.
What do you want to do different in 2013 that you
didn’t do in 2012?
Write another novella before years
end.
What television show best
describes your life and why?
The
Haves and Have Nots! I come from a large family of eight. Minus the drama from Candace, each member of
my family is dealing with something in life that will ultimately cause them to
grow stronger or it might destroy them.
What’s your favorite quote & why?
My favorite quote comes from the
Bible: Romans 8:28 The Message
(MSG)
26-28 Meanwhile, the moment we get tired in the waiting,
God’s Spirit is right alongside helping us along. If we don’t know how or what to pray, it
doesn’t matter. He does our praying in and for us, making prayer out
of our wordless sighs, our aching groans. He knows us far better than we know
ourselves, knows our pregnant condition, and keeps us present before God.
That’s why we can be so sure that every detail in our lives of love for God is
worked into something good.
I love this passage because so many
times in my life especially when going through tests and trials I wonder how
things are going to work out.
What character in your new book could you most
relate to?
Tiffany

What song would you use as the soundtrack of your
life and why?
I Didn’t
Know My Own Strength by Whitney
Houston. At the lowest points in my life, when my life seemed to be crumbling
the words to this song echoed my feelings, my emotions and thoughts. Many times
I didn’t think I would make it, darkness covered my world, dreams were lost,
plans shattered, but it was my faith in God and His Word that keep me.
