Five Minutes With The Author

1) What started your writing career?

Marian: For most authors', they might say that, for them, it began with a love for reading books. For me, it is more the creative aspect of writing. The ability to use my imagination to create something that can be ripped right out of the pages of reality for all women.

2) Did you have any obstacles you  had to overcome?

Marian: My biggest obstacle was getting out of my own way. I've  learned that most times, we are our own obstacles and must learn to get out of our own way, so that we can move forward.

3)  How do you deal with negative reviews?
Marian: I try to learn from them. Author's sometimes get the good, bad and the ugly, when it comes to reviews. However, there is something positive that comes out of  it all.

4)What's that?
Marian: Your work sparked an emotion in the reader.

5) What advice do you  have for aspiring writers?
Marian: The best piece of advice that I can offer any aspiring writer is….that no journey can start unless you put two feet on it and start walking. Being an author is a journey. You start by writing. You continue by writing with passion. You grow by writing with purpose.

6) What's new for you in 2014?

I am looking forward to releasing a new book: "Blue Butterfly".
